Petrov Not Going To City

Petrov Not Going To City

Reports had suggested that Man City would sign Petrov in an exchange for Barton.

However, Lawwell (chief executive)said: 'Accusations we have contacted Manchester City offering Stilian are completely false.

'We wish Stilian to remain at the club and this story is totally inaccurate.'

Strachan added: 'This is total fabrication. People are just guessing. If they are going to try and guess, they should at least try to be realistic.'

Going to play in Scotland is end of career stuff for any player who has may have Prem experience. Why would Barton want to there? Why would anybody? There was talk of Arsenal watching him. Are we bored with the Petrov situ?

Strachan doesn't mix his words does he? Yep the Petrov saga is growing a little tiresome, we should hurry up and sign him or at least make an indication if we're not going to.

I reckon Rod Stewart could still play for Strachan's bunch of European under achievers...

It was never going to happen, Petrov 5-6m and Barton 3.5m, old golden balls may not mince his words and he is not a complete idiot either. Let it continue the Celtic fansite has never had some much traffic from passing English admirers of the Muppet League.

This is going to go on for some time as Celtic are hoping to keep the player busy and as far away from the South Coast as possible. Celtic are in Poland at the moment, they played some 2 bit outfit and lost 1-0, Petrov played 65 minutes and in a report about the game his agent who looks after and was talking about another Celtic got asked for news on Petrov to which he replied that he has heard nothing. From memory they are then off to the USA.

Why on earth would Petrov even consider Man City. I certainly don't think they have enough money to purchase players to push for a euro spot
