Two in for Pompey? Not Konchesky though

Two in for Pompey? Not Konchesky though

As the transfer window inches into its final hours, well we still have 8-hours or so - as I write and publish this at almost 3pm - 'word on the street' is Pompey will be, or at least are looking, to do business.

Two bits of business apparently...

I have said I could not see the point in another loan, as it made no sense unless one loanee was going back or being signed, although one of these 'could' be a loan deal and Arsenal 'could' be the club we deal with?

Whatever does happen, if anything does, it will not be until mid-late afternoon or beyond by all accounts...

The News have said that a loan move for Paul Konchesky failed though - with him joining Forest on an emergency loan instead.

They also report that NO transfers will take place today!

As always I am NOT saying what I say will happen, or trying to raise hopes, but as promised though I said that Vital Pompey Towers would keep you updated with any 'rumours' that were coming our way...

Not Andy Reid either. Radio says Cot very depressive at Pompey press conference. I have to ask, if he can't be up and motivated; how does he expect the players to be up and motivated?

Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal would do me. Still think we need three or four.

If we were after Konchesky, surely Dickinson would have gone back?

Despite these rumours still very quiet. Not sure we can cancel loan agreements half way throught the season unless
    1. Players is signed permanently or
    2. Another club take over the loan as with the Andy Keogh deal to Cardiff and now Bristol City.

Not looking good, we know we wanted Norris and Konchesky and got neither. How long was Cotts list that he gave to Lampitt?

Very true Plymouth, if I were an aspiring new player who wanted a career I wouldn't come to Pompey either. Nb. Seems like the Argyle are going through the same problems as Pompey, change Chinese for Japanese though :)

No More Quarter Final Replays For Pompey

Should Portsmouth progress through to an FA Cup quarter final from the 2016/17 season onwards, the game will no longer be subject to a replay.

    Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.
