'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Please can we just get him gone?

How long can talks take about a player leaving one club for another?

Especially if that player has spent the last 5-months or so on loan with this club already!

West Ham are 'continuing talks with Portsmouth' over Tal Ben Haim and a deal to take him back to West Ham again.

The whole situation is a farce really, and was always going to be so due to the fact that Storrieteller inserted a 'relegation release clause' that allowed him to leave on a free if we got relegated - the problem is this clause can ONLY be activated by him!

As it stands I would suspect that West Ham only want to take him back on loan again, whereas I would be pretty sure that the club, even if Steve Cotterill does not, want to offload him permanently.

Whatever is happening surely this should be fairly easy to sort out?

Worse case scenario, and I doubt we benefit as a result, do we not just agree a deal similar to the last loan he had at Upton Park?

All the time this drags on though we continue to pay his hefty wages, then again I suspect we are anyway, or at least a large chunk of them...

The problem is that he has never been that popular at West Ham. He may end up staying with us afterall, especially if the Hammers' board are yet not decided about Grant. He is at WH because of him anyway, so I think he will remain at Pompey.

I think West Ham have seen enough of him to know that he isn't really that good, if Avram don't want him, we're gonna struggle to offload him.

maybe as we are still picking up his 38k a week and hughes 25k and browns 35k once we have their 98k a week wages off our books then we can start recruiting some players !! can u imagine if we are still stuck with these 3 players come feb 1st . God help us

Hussler, we are stuck with them at the moment and West Ham don't want to pay his current salary. Get him back, make him train and if he won't sit him out and don't pay him. Find out if he really wants to okay or if he's Richard Hughes. Pompey have faced down their manager now they need to face down their wayward over payed players. As has been said Hammers fans dont like him, so get the s0d back and make it clear he is on offer.

Well I am not surprised Brudge was such an instant hit at Westam. He is a poor defender and all three goals were down to him. TBH is not the best in the world but he is a far better defender than Waynker Bridbe!!
