Arabian midfielder in on trial

The club 'might' soon have a new addition to the ranks as we have a young trialist over from Saudi Arabia.

Mazin Alhuthayfi, who I can find no other info on apart from what the club have said, will spend a couple of weeks at Pompey having been 'recommended by club contacts in the Middle East'.

So long as these 'contacts' were not from the Al Faraj of Al Fahim families we could be ok!

For more info, as issued on The Pompey Site, see below...

Academy Trial For Saudi

Saudi Arabian midfielder Mazin Alhuthayfi is on trial with Pompey's academy.

The right-sided player has joined the Blues from Saudi club Al-Ittihad and will train with the academy and development squads.

He is training with Pompey for a two-week period after being recommended by club contacts in the Middle East.

Dont have a problem with Fahim to be honest, i think he was another hoodwinked by Daily Fable Storrie teller, and it cant be a recommendation from Farhaj, as the player exists.

Midge, I agree with you and that was the word that was at the club, the man was sold a fishy tail and ended up with a bloater.
