Not seen a goal on this day as only match was Luton in 1974.

Not sure why the crowd was so big that day - it was during the three day week and Pompey had a generator for the floodlights which failed. John Deacon ordered the mains to be used (which was illegal) in the interests of crowd safety.

Sad thing my memory!!!

2 for me the Wigan game in 1980. They were new to the league & had the audacity to equalise in the 90th minute!!! The Oldham side whopped us 4-1 as they ran away with the league that season. Also remember the 2-2 at Man Utd as Walshie was the hero, my mates went, I stayed at home!!!

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
