Three FA Cup games for me - Wolves in 1965 Swindon (A) in 1974 and Boro in 1980.

Swindon game kicked off at 1.30 on a Wednesday because of the three day week. Malcolm Manley was majestic on a awful pitch and Kellard who had earned the replay, knicked the winner. Next up Orient at home on a Sunday!!

1980 Pompey are in Division four, the visit of Div One Boro attracts a decent crowd of nearly 32,000!! They nearly witness an upset as after Terry Brisley levels the Terry Cochrane opener Jeff Hemmerman has a perfectly good winner ruled out for offside. Pompey had three home FA Cup games that season and the crowds total almost 70,000. Great stuff and real happy days.

Great memories as a 14 year old being at Boro game. Little Pompey were robbed of a famous giant killing act. Vague memories of our brilliant Paul & Guy scoring to beat Southend. Another goal & we would have been promoted!

Character at Charlton praised

Pompey had to work hard but given the chances we had a victory at the Valley was probably warranted against Charlton on Saturday.

Revenge, a quarter of a century in the making

What did I say? I wasn't entirely sure what way it would go - I did think there would be a winner - but eventually stuck my neck out and said Pompey would sneak it at Charlton.
