Just that last home game where, from memory, it was our first home victory of the season. The start of the great escape.

Three games for me back to 1966. losing 5-0 at Highfield Road we were still singing and Ray Hiron rewarded our efforts with a late consolidation. Missed New Year as coach had problems on way back and no motorways in those days!

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
