A trip to Elland Road to face Leeds is always tough at the best of times, but with them flying high and selection issues to content with it is even tougher...
These selection issues are complicated more with players, in a small squad, unavailable - but hey ho on we go.
Defensively we have Greg Halford returning - my thinking that his loan had ended early was wrong - so, I 'think' he is back after suspension now so 'should' slot straight back into the side, although I am not entirely convinced that it will be in defence...
I would doubt that The Herminator will start a second successive game so I would expect him on the bench with Carl Dickinson returning at left back. I have this feeling that both Joel Ward and Halford will both play with one moving into a midfield role with players absent.
Liam Lawrence's emergency loan has ended although he becomes a permanent acquisition on New Years Day, so returns to face Watford then. Mikey Brown has played his last game for the club, unless his contract dispute is resolved so he too 'probably' misses out - this increase the chances that Halford and Ward both play, one moving into a midfield role.
Then again Steve Cotterill also has the option of giving Richard Hughes, what could be, his last game for the club but 'if' possible with another 2 games in 3 days starting on Saturday chances are he would, or could, be saved.
Up top I would not think that much could, or even should, change.
Yep, Leeds will be tough, as said, but even with changes to be made we should have enough to be competitive and give them a game, I would take a point no questions asked but all 3pts is NOT out of the question by any means...
