The postponement of the Scunthorpe game was frustrating, irritating, annoying - and the rest - but this postponement, from the point of view of what it did to the playing side of things for the club, in some ways, did us some favours...
All in all though the selection posers that we faced going into that game remain, pretty much, for this one against Millwall although any carrying little niggles had that extra week to recover.
Greg Halford was suspended for Scunthorpe, this remains the case now - he has returned to Wolves, albeit 'probably' temporarily until the New Year - so this will mean Joel Ward going back to right back and Carl Dickinson returning from his suspension at left back.
Mikey Brown and Richard Hughes continue to have the appearance related clause hanging over their heads so I would 'think' that one will play with the other sitting out the match completely.
In fact it is almost certain that at least one will sit out the game.
For me, given the fact that it is a home game and changes from the Norwich win 'should' be minimal, I think it is most likely that we will go with Brown, sticking with him, in this game as he would give us that extra edge to get the 3pts that we need really - it 'might' prove his last game though?
There is of course the option of leaving the pair out and turning to either Kanu or Nadir Ciftci in midfield(ish) roles, centrally as a withdrawn forward as far a The King goes or as a wide option for Guus Hiddink's latest talent spot...
What we do against Leeds is again going to be in the mind, but you cannot really think too far ahead - even if it is only a couple of days after, as injuries and suspensions, which hopefully we do not pick up but cannot ever be discarded - the first mission is Millwall, so minimal changes from the side that beat Norwich, which seems an age ago, is most likely to be the case.
The only one, by my reckoning, that MUST miss out from that win is Halford - a little switch at the back and we are just about sorted, for the Millwall game anyway...
