Bleedin' snow, that's enough now!

'No Rug, it is not just you I am p****d off with the snow as well', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I clearly agree with.

For me snow is nice to begin with, and is fantastic if you do not really have to do anything for a few days apart from play in it with the kids - unfortunately most of us, most of the time, have plenty to do and not all of us have kids!

It is picturesque but, and perhaps I am a humbug when it comes to it, I would rather see this on a picture postcard or Christmas card now.

The chaos it causes is incredible, some I think is avoidable, or should be?

To be fair some things cannot be prevented but the virtual standstill that this causes in this county is incredible when you think other countries can deal with it. Ok, we do not get a lot of it but you would think that we would start to become more prepared for this, and be able to cope better, when it strikes again by learning from it each time, but no...

This snow has caused us to call-off our last two home games, speaking for myself I have travelled for one and would have the other if I could have got through, so PLEASE lets see an end to this weather now!

  • What the poll asked - Is it just me or are you pissed off with the snow now?

  • How you voted - Yes, yes and yes! 77%
No its you, you grumpy git! 13%
Hey ho, what can you do? 10%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I travelled down from Kent for the Scunthorpe game & then couldn't get back till Sunday, then the M25 was shut. What a great weekend that wasn't. What's the odds on another wasted journey this Sunday?

Well, did the snow stop the games.?I don't think it did. Some numpty in the Office decided to stop the first one on the Wednesday, by Saturday there WAS no snow. As for the Scunthorpe game, they looked at conditions at 8.30 in the morning and declared the game off. By 11.30 it was bright sunshine. Had they sent an SOS out to fans, they would have come in their droves to clear the snow. According to SC, the pitch was playable anyway, it was just the surround area. B & Q never shut down because of the surrounding area - why should FP?

No snowmen for you then Matt :-) It's frustrating I must admit, but heh! it's mother nature and there ain't a lot we can do about it. It's the law makers PFC and many others are scared to death of in this litigious society we live in today. H&S is all powerfull today I'm afraid... PUP...sometime.

Snows gone now - none forecast. What will be the reason for calling off Boxing Day game? Contract negotiations!
