'If It's Football, It's Vital'

All I want for Christmas is...

Pompey to play a game at Fratton again this year!

It seems so long since our last game at Fratton, back-to-back postponements against Burnley and Scunthorpe have denied us any football at home for weeks, well months now really.

Boxing Day is due to see Millwall come to town so the best pressie Santa could bring us is for this game to go ahead as an unwanted hat-trick is 3 home games running being postponed.

Financially the club desperately needs this game to happen as we have been hit hard by these postponements recently, especially given our situation anyway!

The drawback to the Millwall game 'hopefully' taking place as scheduled on Boxing Day is I WILL MISS IT due to no trains running on that day.

Even so, as much as I would love to be at Fratton for this game, I would 'take one for the team' and accept missing this, just praying for everyone else that this game is played - please help us Santa.

If Santa was feeling extra nice, not that I am greedy, he would also bring us 3pts...

According to Lumpitt, the finance loss is negligible apparently the club can go without the £112k per game. I don't get him sometimes hedoes not seem to understand how winning momentum requires continuity and that inturn affects fans visits to the Pompey shop ; especially when the manager says the game should have gone ahead. What's clear is that DL does not yet realise that he is in the business of FOOTBALL; and lots of that is intangible.

I reckon Pompey need to and will beat Millwall on boxing day.

Building on Russellm's point, was there not some mention of cashflow problems within the past few months? How has zero income from playing improved this? May be sceptical but will this increase the chances of BC giving SC any money to spend in January

Dear Santa, If you are bringing Rug a Millwall game and three points, could I please ask for the money Fairy to sprinkle fairy dust all over Balmram Chainrai, so that when he sits down with SC, he gives him 5m to spend on players. (Oh go on then, and a nice bottle of aftershave or maybe some whisky).
