'I Give Up'

'I Give Up'

Vital Pompey writer Les Matthews has declared that he "gives up."

Vital Pompey will no longer be posting articles on rumours unless there is sufficient evidence that they are authentic i.e. "a quote."

In other news- Milan has told the BBC that, "We're having dialogue with Celtic to get him to Portsmouth (Stilian Petrov),' Chairman Milan Mandaric reportedly told BBC Scotland.

'It's in the hands of Peter Storrie [Pompey's Chief Executive], who does our negotiations, and Celtic. Whether we're able to put a deal together remains to be seen.

'Harry likes his ability to score goals - he is the complete midfielder Harry is looking for. I would be surprised if he didn't want to come to the Premier League. We would like to have him.'

If we (PFC owners, board memebers, managers etc) stuck to the line that: ' WE DON'T DISCUSS F*CK ALL ABOUT ANY POTENTIAL SIGNING UNTIL UNTIL WE HAVE HIM' then maybe they will get bored with keep asking!

Agents will as much bullsh*t as tell some truths. Difficult to which sometime. We (PFC) don't have to comment either way. You don't see Bolton or Charlton discussing what they are going to do until they have done. When are their chairman on TV giving away what they may do?

Its a double edged sword really, I have read as many sooooooooo bored nothing to talk about threads as I have read sledging the writer for the supposed bullsh.t that appears here. One thing I can say the tabloids get sledged for making up stuff but most of you still buy, read and discuss the articles.

Now MM is on the bandwagon talking to BBC Scotland quite amazing how the Pompey management team seem to get their noses into the media. Can just see BBC Scotland jumping on the phone to Milan to get the inside, thought they (being Scotland) might have rang Celtic to get something from them too. Maybe Celtic have a policy not to comment on transfers. At 27 is he going to want to leave the comfort zone of being top of the SPL and the lure of European football for the somewhat tougher EPL and the potential for a relegation scrap and no European stage? Maybe if the money is good, real good and AHH there we have a problem unless he is on 5k per week at Celtic.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
