England The New Pompey

England remind me very much of Portsmouth I decided today. There are many things that make me proud of my team and many things that frustrate me about my side. This is the same with my national side (England)

For starters the fans- Portsmouth fans have a reputation for giving awesome support home and away, loosing or winning. Prime examples are; Fulham away and the F.A cup game against Arsenal. England fans also have the same passion towards their country, shown at most football championships. England fans have a poor reputation for violence but this reputation has improved recently, as has Portsmouth. The old days with the 6.57 crew, Portsmouth had one of the toughest firms in football.

Secondly, keeping the ball- On the rare occasion when we are wining a game with ten minutes to go, (I believe) we can`t keep the ball. Let`s keep the ball and run the clock down. Although we are the best at keeping the ball in the corner spot! England also seem to struggle to keep the ball, the amount of times we put more than five passes together today I could have counted on one finger.

Thirdly, Defence- My team can`t defend fact, we go out there and try and score more goals than the opposition. I also don`t trust my teams defence just as I don`t trust England`s defence. Set Pieces, both teams can`t defend set pieces, I mean how hard is it? Get the bleeding ball away from the goal!

Fourthly, Dodgy manager- My team has Harry Redknapp as there manager and they don`t come much dodgier. Sven looks very sly to me, he seems to get all these women, something dodgy going on there.

Fifth, winning- Both will win nothing this year. (As much as I hate to say it!)
