'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I think there is a chance...

Nope, I am not talking about the chances of the game this weekend going ahead.

The fact that the ticket office and club shop is closed today due to 'adverse weather conditions' does tend to raise further concerns about the chances of the Burnley game going ahead. That said, with the weather and temperatures 'expected' to improve as the week goes on there is a decent chance...

What I am referring to as 'I think there is a chance' is a chance that I reckon Greg Halford's stay could be extended.

Steve Cotterill has again said that he wants to keep the guy longer and I 'think' that he is enjoying being here, and to be fair has been - overall - fairly impressive too.

From Halford's viewpoint, he would 'probably' be honest enough to admit that he has a better chance of playing more regularly at Pompey than he will at Wolves, right?

Perhaps he has put himself more into Mick McCarthy's thoughts recently following his showing for Pompey, but will he really have gone from very much on the outside looking in for some time to a place on the bench regularly - at best I suspect - now?

Halford has never really cracked it in the premier league with Sunderland or Wolves, and whilst I would not say he never will, I could not see him managing to crack this nut just yet...

Although, as Cotterill knows to be fair, no matter what the Pompey manager might want and what Halford might want it is up to McCarthy what happens.

His loan ends at the end of the year but I would not be in the least bit surprised if he stays with Pompey for a longer loan spell into the New Year, but time will tell.

Could be right Rug. I'm not sure he is the real deal yet and ge gets caught out of position but I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

If the Burnely team arrive and Mancs airport is open and scumpton airport is open, so there is no reason for a no show; the game should go ahead. Even if the stadium is not filled;full is a rare event in anycase. And whilst I haven't walked for a week or so I recall that no where on the island is much more than an hours stroll from the ground.

Truly pathetic, the M40 is open, the A3 is open, the A31 is open. The next thing will be clear pavements and Limp saying - well who knew? Pathetic ! Lol Have I said Pathetic recently?
