Blackpool 1967 the biggest home league crowd I have eve seen - what an ocasion. Why the huge crowd? Pompey and Blackpool were top and second and both pushing for promotion. The average crowd that season was over 23,000.

Just Villa at home on top of that.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
