'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Who fills in at left back then?

Steve Cotterill has either put on his 'poker face' or The Herminator really is NOT going to start at Barnsley tomorrow...

Many had 'expected' the Icelandic veteran to step directly into Carl Dickinson's boots with him suspended after his sending off last week, but maybe not?

Cotterill is 'said' to be concerned about doing this so will be looking elsewhere.

In many ways I can see why he would be reluctant and as much as I think the majority of us would like to see him return I too do not think, realistically, that he is ready and putting him back in just yet might cause more harm than good...

'Hopefully' Cotterill will learn from the Derby game that moving too many players around would cause more harm than good, then again 'arguably' the 'best' option would be to drop Hayden Mullins back into left back and bring Richard Hughes back into midfield?

Then again we lose Mullins' presence in midfield, and as much as I love the guy, are left with - what is nowadays - a fairly 'ineffective' Hughes in a central role, sorry Hughesy...

So, perhaps either keeping Greg Halford at right back and bringing Joel Ward in at left back could be the most 'sensible' option. Even if Ward is not a left sided player, alternatively put Ward back in at right back and Halford at left back?

Whatever I would think it is almost 'nailed on' that Rocha John Rocha will come back into the defence, and although a re-jig is possible to see him come in at right back and move Halford across I would 'hope' that he comes back into the heart of defence.

I guess, as he has already this season, Liam Lawrence - who will WITHOUT A DOUBT return - could come back in at left back, although this is 'probably' the least likely option, right?

Rocha or Mullins for me. Rocha is left footed and Mullins did well there last season.

I think that he will put Halford there and play Ward at RB. Looking forward to my first trip to Barnsley.

Id like to see Rocha stay in the middle, try the first half will Joel Ward on the left and Halford on the right, Lawrence needs to be further up the feild to be effective, and we need him to be effective. This is a very winnable game. PUP

dont care who goes there anyone would be better than the plum thats been mascarading as a left back

I think that Rocha should come into the middle. Mullins will be a great left-back. Hughes has played a good game when he came on last, but I am not sure he will do ok if he plays tomorrow. We can always play Rocha as left-back, and Sonko or Halford in the middle.

So we all agree there is plenty of choice. Enjoy the Barnsley chop Wellyit.
