You've gotta love Browny!

The magical thing about being at a game, which is an added reason why - finances permitting - I would always want to be at a game, is the fact that you see things you ordinarily would miss as a result, and 'sometimes' hearing about this second hand is not as good...

One such incident involved Mikey Brown on Saturday that had everyone in stitches.

With time running out, getting on with it was clearly on our mind, not so much on Doncaster's! So, when Brown and one of their players went crunching into each other it was little surprise that their player stayed down and ours got up, and was in a hurry to get on with our resulting corner...

As the guy was so near to the touchline, being the helpful chappy that Browny is, he literally picked him up and moved him a few feet so he was off the field.

On a day that we did not really have too much to cheer or laugh about this gave so many of us such a laugh. In many ways it also summed up Browny pretty well and was another reason why I am so pleased that my early thoughts on him when he did return - and not wanting him - have, all in all, been proven wrong.

This was, quite possibly, the funniest thing I have seen all season!

Was funny though and understandable as Donny were running the clock down.

I heard them mention this on the radio, sounded very Brownesque. Although did the referee not stop the game anyway.

he's got to be the most irritating man in football. Cheating, vicious and devious. Glad he's on our side.

Michael Brown is a true fighter. He was constantly trying to wind the other Pompey players up into action and covers Fratton Park from end to end trying to help his team mates - He should be the captain all the time. Shame that our strikers strolled back towards the half way line and were caught time and time again in offside positions when they could have run back and been available to receive passes. They lacked the conviction, determination and spirit that Michael Brown shows. I agree - watching Michael Brown slide the Doncaster Rovers player to the side line was hilarious. You have to love Browny.

I don't like some of his game play, it's down right dirty and cynical, did I mention whinging like an Ian Rush? But when he dragged the man off that was a piece of class.

Blue Exile good point, particularly DK- possibly why some of us thought he inspired a couple of songs: A little less conversation - a bit more action PLEASE and that classic - I can't get no satisf ACTION !

its only when you get someone like him in your team you see the good as well as the bad. **** sticks, and some players ask for it, but watered down with the good elements and theyre not AS bad, as fans not watching them week in week, out appreciate.

Its really strange, but I only ever see the other sides fouling us. I have NEVER seen any member of our side do anything wrong or bad to anyone else. (Perhaps that is what they call blind loyalty! lol) As for Brown dragging that man off the pitch, I thought he did so caringly, - he was so gentle I was sure that Brown thought he would be more comfortable on the edge of the pitch.

anyone remember Gerrard doing Brown with a forearm smash last season? If it was the other way round he would of been hung for it

Yes I do. I never ever believed it when people on here were whinging about what the big clubs got away with. But when I saw that with my own eyes....! I have hated Gerrard and Liverpool ever since. I thought Chelsea were a bunch of thugs as well, especially Terry. Arsenal are nothing like as clean as they like to make out. The only one out of the big four who haven't upset me yet is ManU.
