Oliver Thormet Not Signing Or Is He?

Oliver Thormet will now not sign for Pompey!

The Lens midfielder was going to be a £6 million signing for Pompey, but will be staying at his club according to his president after transfer collapsed.

'I can confirm there are two chances in two that he [Thomert] will stay with Lens next season. We had some contact late last night [Monday] with Portsmouth. They were not successful and Olivier Thomert will stay with us,' he told the official Lens website.

'The talks were not successful but not because of a lack of desire on the part of RCL, but because none of the conditions [of the transfer] were fulfilled, particularly concerning the player,' he added.

Is this another cover up (I THINK IT COULD BE!)

According to the Steaua Bucharest official website defender Mirel Radoi has also turned Pompey down. I don't know why but i don't think these deals are dead.

I don't know what to think. We need to snap someone up soon. Did anyone see Zigic play for S & M today? He was awesome.

A very interesting situation, Thomert, Radoi and Emana and two were to sign by the end of the week (Les?) and lets throw in DA. On each occasion the clubs appear to be happy for a/the transfer to proceed so it comes back to personal terms. Emana and DA will/has come down to the best offer to the player. Thomert looks like he is asking for something outside of the standard contract and Radoi was a done deal with the exception of the last line of the 17/6 article which mentions Liverpool. Negotiation may be the key word in all this, make an offer, wait for a counter and then meet in the middle, so its possible that Pompey made an offer, Thomert countered and then the middle ground should have been agreed. Except with Thomert the offer was made, he countered and the deal is dead 2 chances in 2. Radoi is told where to play and how much to earn by his mafia uncle and the deal was 90% done so what pearlers appeared from the woodwork to stuff the deal? Emana says he just plays and waits rather than making decisions on his career. 40 minutes ago when I started this thought process thought I was onto something, but no, there is some bullshxt happening here.

If we can't give D'Allesandro 38K per month, then of course quite a few good players will turn down our current wage structure, won't they?

I read that Radoi was 800,000k per year, so a bit over 15k per week so he was not in the same league as DA in terms of salary so it was not a case of not paying market rate that stuffed this one.

it's strange i think that they might still sign!

We don't actually know what has happened and idle speculation doesn't help the club or the fans. We can't even be sure that we have tried to sign all these player, just cos Les reckons we are interested doesn't actually mean we are.

I can, you should do some research ie if Emana was coming to Portsmouth looking for a house not in Toulose. The only one I couldn't find was the Radoi website which is in English.
