Pompey To Sign 'Fantastic' Defender

Pompey To Sign 'Fantastic' Defender

Mirel Radoi will sign for Pompey this week after the president of his club Steaua Bucharest tried to cover up the deal.

Mirel Radio is a defender and very good one at that! He is just the type of solid defender we need.

The player is expected to sign this week. With the president of his club saying;

'Tomorrow (Weds) we will see for sure, but in principle the transfer of Mirel to Portsmouth will be complete. The contract is for three years,' Becali is quoted as saying.

I have a friend in Romania and he has told me we will be signing 'a fantastic player.'

I‘m really disappointed about this transfer. I’d have expected to see Radoi signing for MANU, Liverpool or Arsenal

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
