Pompey out of Administration

Pompey have just issued the following statement

'The Administrators of Portsmouth City Football Club Ltd are pleased to announce that negotiations between the various parties concerning the sale of the club have now been satisfactorily concluded.

Accordingly, the club has now been formally sold by the Joint Administrators, Messrs UHY Hacker Young, and will continue to trade outside of Administration.

The Administrators would like to thank Mr Gaydamak for his cooperation and assistance in securing the future of the club and acknowledges that he has played an integral part in delivering its survival.'

And so so all of us!!

Happy days after what we have been dragged through in the last thirty hours!!

What a sense of relief. It's almost difficult to contemplate that the nightmare is over. It doesn't say who we've been sold to, but assuming it's BC let's now give him total support (unless of course he does an AF!).

This great news, great news. And like him or not it's a well done to AA, hard work sometimes - well most of the time actually- but every one had to win he did that thing. Now with all due respect, take some plaudits then s0d 0rf into the back ground. So it's BC, well for at least a day, being Pompey who knows on Monday, I don't think BC will hand the club over to any old monkey after the aggro ge has had to get it. I think the man will ensure the creditors get there money and the CVA is honoured. He has recommited to pay the charities and small creditors in full, none of which are his liability so I hope those who were giving the man grief will think about it now. Now we can get back to moaning about the things that really count like the Ref's eye sight and the state of the pies. I'm happy with the stadium not to moan about it- well not until next season anyway.

Its the best news we have had for a while (save for the teams actual work on the pitch which has been awesome). Hopefully the club can start to move forward now,maybe get into a more positive frame of mind!

What a difference a day makes! I'll think i'll hold off on the celebrating for now, serious investment is needed but at least we've moved forward.

I must agree with Russellm..BC has kept EVERY promice so far, has paid creditors under£2k in full, provided £7M reserve..and now takes out of Administration... I cant find the SSN article where there is mention of him having a consortium joining him, or of the promice of surprises...but i will take him at his work...maybe its Peter lim after his disapointment at being denied Liverpool ownership...offering to us a FP refurb...Hmm not sure about that for loads ofd reasons

This is the perfect time to celebrate (apart from it being Sunday morning), this is the biggest single most important thing for the club. I am so relieved because it seemed it was never going to happen. Does that mean next weekend we won't get an announcement that the club is about to go under? The nightmare is over! Now will someone please put the clock right in the Fratton End?

Can't do a lot more than echo the comments above. I am very relieved, I really did think we were gonners. Going to enjoy the relief given for a bit and then see what unfolds. Must say though that I'm well pleased by our form at the moment....sensational turn around.

In the words of Winston Churchill, 'I went to bed and slept the sleep of the saved and thankful.' Things are looking great on the pitch as well as off it and with a couple of shrewd additions to the squad we should have a good season. Perhaps now the lazy journos will come up with something other than 'cash-strapped Pompey'. Happy days, I can reduce the blood pressure medication now.

lets just hope we CAN regroup and rebuild as a club and do this in the right way, PLEASE let it be onwards and upwards now...

007/rug suchagaydalek has to have either agreed to sell the land, or bought in as a silent investor. Cant wait for the forest game although i am worried that the motivation will get replaced by relief; not so worried that i without hesitation put my tenner on a 2-1 pompey win a agin. After predicting the score in the Hull game chaps im actually breaking even!
