'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ink on The Herminator's contract now dry!

A deal with The Herminator was agreed back along although I would guess the on-going issues with trying to come out of administration delayed this.

This is now done with a contract until the end of the season being officially confirmed on The Pompey Site today. The veteran, who will be part of the squad going to Hull tomorrow, is delighted to be back: 'I'm delighted to have signed again for such a great club where I have had a fantastic time.

'It's great to be fit again and I can't wait to get out there and pull on a blue shirt again.'

David Lampitt, also on The Pompey Site, had this to add: 'Hermann is a legend and embodies everything great about this club.

'I would like to thank him for his patience over the last few weeks as he has waited to sign his contract. We're delighted to have him back and available.'

He is back with us until the end of the season, at 36 this 'probably' will be his final contract with us, then again this is The Herminator we are talking about so anything is possible!

This news, added to the loan signing of Greg Halford earlier in the week, must SURELY mean that we are closing in on having our approach to exit admin getting closer, right?

As why would we have had these approved...

At the end of that article the club also confirmed that Liam O'Brien has been released.

It is good that this news has finally been officially confirmed although I must say that putting it at the end of one article is not the way I would have liked this handled, but hey ho.

Best of luck to Liam and welcome back Hermann!

great for hermann. as for the current "issue"... regardless of whether we can find a way to get sacha to sign the pre-arranged agreement, this will have a knock on effect to the playing staff. all that confidence we have built up and the belief in change has just evaporated into thin air! how can SC give the players belief and confidence in pre-match build ups... what a complete an utter disgrace! im sure sacha has his reasons and there is always two sides to one story but if what is said is true then seriously who is he kidding?!
