Thormet Pompey's Answer to D.A?

Thormert is also on Harry Redknapp's want list but the cost of such a talent was always going to prove tricky.

Thormet has scored 6 goals in 27 games for Lens this year. The player can play up front or his favoured position left midfield. This could be Pompey`s answer to D`Alessandro!

Pompey have agreed terms with Lens for a reported €10 million (£6.8 million) and they will now look to negotiate a contract with the 26-year-old.

The likes of Everton and Tottenham have shown an interest in the past but Pompey are hoping they can tie up a quick deal before other clubs can pounce.

A word of warning though, he is a bit lazy (Robert style) but is sill an incredible talent.

Doesnt sound like a bad player for £6.8 Million - if he can stop being 'lazy' and provide a bit of class, he could be the player to fire Pompey up the table next season.

the last thing pompey need are lazy players, u should go down the same route as wigan and buy grafters, and add a bit of quality to that. u have decent players u just need to buuild on it.

Well, he's french and he doesn't set the world alight when it comes to scoring goals. I suppose we'll have to take the gaffers word on this one if he signs. A few news stories about him here -----> http://home.skysports.com/player.asp?plid=14054&clid=142&cpid=24

Heard nothing in Spurs Land re this guy being of interest and we need a left sided midfielder so its down to you guys and maybe Everton but I hear they are a bit spent out and the only new arrivals are going to be around the 2 million mark. GOOD LUCK!

Here's what the Toulouse chairman said about Thomert six months ago (Sky sports): "Whilst Thomert remains hot property, Lens have so far rejected all approaches, and chairman Gervais Martel says the French side have no intention of compromising their fine start to the season by selling their most valued asset...Olivier is achieving a great season, as we expected since his arrival. He shows incredible potential, he has become a key player." Olivier has a habit of scoring early goals for Lens who finished 4th in Ligue 1 last season. He's a left footed attacker.
