Impressive Ritchie extends his loan

So far Matty Ritchie has, by all accounts, impressed during his loan spell with Swindon - and this has seen this extended...

Matty has scored once so far and has also impressed enough to be named the man of the match against Bristol Rovers last week.

His loan has been extended until the start of December, which to be honest does not surprise me and if anything I would - all in all - say that this is actually the right thing to do as he can play some regular football for the rest of the year, although I would hope that he DOES return for the New Year.

By all accounts offers HAVE been made for Matty but we have rejected them as the club does, according to 'word on the street', feel that he has a future at Fratton so the loaning him out gives us a chance to keep tabs on him I guess?

Keep up the good work Matty! Lets hope that we reap the benefits when you do come back as I cannot see that there would be another loan after this, surely...

i see him as a first team player for us. He is doing well at Swindon because he should really be here! I get the point that he gets football every week but when we are so short of players, why loan a player of his quality out

That is good news, especially as we have an over sized squad with far too many reserves.

torn on both sides for this. id rather we loaned him out whilst SC isn't giving much room to "reserves" and "youths". as long as we provide him with assurances in the future!
