Pompey fail to exit Administration

Pompey have failed today in their attempt to come out of Administration. A statement on the club`s website reads -

'Following a meeting of The Football League Board today, Portsmouth Football Club have been informed that the League are not yet able to approve the transfer of The Football League share to the club.

The League have indicated to the club that there are four further requirements that need to be satisfied.

The club will now take time to consider the feedback from the meeting ahead of further discussions with The Football League.`

What these four requirements are remains to be seen but I suppose we all expected to have our hopes dashed. The wait goes on.

More news as we get it .....

Perhaps we should change our name to Liverpool fc to speed the process along. Doesn't it make you just want to spit?

the FL doesn't meet for 4 weeks & the money runs out next week. When do we get docked points for not coming out of administration.

This is starting to get a bit silly now, you really have to ask who's not giving out all the information and why not. Surely the league would have told us exactly what they required, and if they did, why did we not provide it, or, are the league so short sighted that they gave us one set of requirements which we fulfilled but they didn't forewarn that they may have further requirements/queries off the back of those??

Perhaps we should let the FA know exactly what we think of them at Fratton on Saturday. This lot couldn't run a bath never mind football!

Let's not set hares running regards points deduction; there isn't a risk until next season. I don't believe DL would have submitted info ge wasn't confident in and you have to wonder if the FL are exceeding their rights cos Pompey can't afford a fight.

Disappointed but not very suprised. Agree with Stooh. Is it that the FL didn't make it clear what their requirements were? I would find that hard to believe. So why aren't the administrators giving them what they need? Is it because they're making lots of money out of the club all the time we're still in admin?

The trouble in the real world is that requirements change. You ask for something, they submit it, you ask for clarification on a point, they respond, you ask for proof of whatever - before you know it that'll be at the next meeting. I imagine the FL are desperate to cover their collective a****, and want everything in triplicate. PUP

In this new straightforward and transparent world the Pompey supporter now lives in, I am awaiting an appendix to David Lampitt's blog, which will surely tell us WOT IS GOING ON..........

The report I heard said nothing about "4 Further Conditions" just that 4 Requirements had still not been met !! Surely its about time Admin Andy and Lampitt evoked the new "clear and transparent" PFC and told us what the ***** conditions still haven't been met !!

Got to go with Gandor & Barney.....let Lampitt speak up. I thought that with him on board it would go down well with the footballing bureaucrats, seems not........geez!!!

As I understand it AA has been through this procedure with another club. Why the f doesn't he know what must be submitted? Tracy is probably near the mark. Every step of our admin way there's been delays for one reason or another - it all stinks.

OMG Blue - I feel a "theory" coming on!!! Could we be flunking things deliberately?

I thought today we would be out of admin and on the way to getting the club back on an even standing. How wrong i was. Wot the f is going on. The thought of us deliberately flunking the application is unacceptable. Administration must of known wot was needed to get this through. Questions need to be answered on this.

It is now in the public domain, the FL want Chan to give up his 15M security ie the only chance he has of getting his money back. Why would Chan do that; why would he just want to give up on 15M? Effectively the FL is trying to force Portsmouth out of business. Pompey it appears have bent over backwards to satisfy the FL but they have come back after more. I really do worry for our survival now.

They obviously want to stop Chan from coming in to get his money and then riding off into the sunset, leaving us in the proverbial. I see where they are coming from. In all honesty, we have all been calling for an F&P with some bite. Looks like this is it and its not nice.

it's about how things are treated in business one man's bold statement is another's confusion... they probbaly made clear statements but Pompey are trying to do the bare minimum and finding loop holes... it''s human nature, to be expected and what we should expect of them... get the best deal for pompey! I wouldn't say any one is to blame here, we must remember football is business now and not the only "game" being played!
