Pompey fail to exit Administration


Pompey have failed today in their attempt to come out of Administration. A statement on the club`s website reads -

'Following a meeting of The Football League Board today, Portsmouth Football Club have been informed that the League are not yet able to approve the transfer of The Football League share to the club.

The League have indicated to the club that there are four further requirements that need to be satisfied.

The club will now take time to consider the feedback from the meeting ahead of further discussions with The Football League.`

What these four requirements are remains to be seen but I suppose we all expected to have our hopes dashed. The wait goes on.

the FL doesn't meet for 4 weeks & the money runs out next week. When do we get docked points for not coming out of administration.

This is starting to get a bit silly now, you really have to ask who's not giving out all the information and why not. Surely the league would have told us exactly what they required, and if they did, why did we not provide it, or, are the league so short sighted that they gave us one set of requirements which we fulfilled but they didn't forewarn that they may have further requirements/queries off the back of those??

Perhaps we should let the FA know exactly what we think of them at Fratton on Saturday. This lot couldn't run a bath never mind football!

Let's not set hares running regards points deduction; there isn't a risk until next season. I don't believe DL would have submitted info ge wasn't confident in and you have to wonder if the FL are exceeding their rights cos Pompey can't afford a fight.

Disappointed but not very suprised. Agree with Stooh. Is it that the FL didn't make it clear what their requirements were? I would find that hard to believe. So why aren't the administrators giving them what they need? Is it because they're making lots of money out of the club all the time we're still in admin?

The trouble in the real world is that requirements change. You ask for something, they submit it, you ask for clarification on a point, they respond, you ask for proof of whatever - before you know it that'll be at the next meeting. I imagine the FL are desperate to cover their collective a****, and want everything in triplicate. PUP

A late Barnet goal looked as though it would end Pompey's unbeaten run but Conor Chaplin proved the saviour when he scored a last minute equaliser to earn a point in a 1-1 draw.
