Dejan's back on the South Coast

Dejan's back on the South Coast

Dejan Stefanovic had always said he wanted to return to the South Coast in a playing or coaching capacity, as seemed more likely, although the playing capacity seemed impossible when he retired almost 2-years ago with a knee injury...

This return has happened though as he has come out of retirement to join Hampshire's second biggest club, Havant & Waterlooville, as a player-coach.

Dejan, as he told The Mail, said he had 'missed playing' so wanted to return and believes that he has found the right club to kick-off a coaching career: 'Havant are a good club for me to start my coaching career.'

Quite how much the soon to be 36-year-old will play remains to be seen although if/when he does turn out for The Hawks I am sure that the watching Pompey fans, and there always are some in the stands at Westleigh Park, will give him a fantastic reception.

This is the start of Dej's management career, he said he wanted to learn the trade and one day manage Pompey; I watched him say it and i have to say i believed him.

I remember reading that russell, and I wouldn't mind him coming back here one bit (found the article:- http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Stefanovic-One-day-my-vision.6387060.jp) . Quality defender and a great captain, who could alse hit a decent free kick.

Dejan was a tremendous asset to Pompey, hopefully his knees will stay in shape and he can get some quality game time in while he pursues his coaching/managerial future.

We know Danny you want to stay!

In case we had forgot Hollands has reminded us of his desire to stay with Pompey! I'm not 'desperate' either way in many ways but sorting this quickly would be best for all concerned.

    Three more pre-season games announced

'Glamour ties' are loved but pre-season is about fitness and form so it doesn't matter if it's Barcelona or Bognor... Then again a trip to the Nou Camp wouldn't be turned down!

Sheffield United loanee open to Pompey return

McNulty would welcome a permanent transfer to Pompey. Although the Sheffield United striker could well be part of new manager Wilder's plans, so the chances seem 50:50 at best?
