Pompey Negotiate Contract

Tony Adams will tomorrow meet with Peter Storrie to negotiate a deal.

Harry has also apparently had talks with two coaches to join his team. (One is reportable a former coach at Southampton with another thought to be Mervin Day from Charlton.)

Tony Adams is thought to play a key role in bringing Sol Campbell to the club. The English defender will hold talks with Wenger when he returns from the world cup.

Rumors also picked up this morning about a possible deal for Shaun Wright-Phillips on loan (which you heard first on Vital Pompey!)

It appears Charlton are in poll position should Chelsea release him however Peter Storrie didn`t rule a deal for the player out;

"Sorry can not comment, sure you will understand."

Peter Storrie also spoke about his frustration towards the local newspaper, accusing them of costing Portsmouth possible transfers by demanding to know who we where after. So, I asked him if we where close to any deals?

"We have lots on the go and you know my policy I will only comment when a deal is done or we will lose players. The local paper do not help us with there quest for information every day."

He did go into some depth regarding Andres D`Alessandro, which I will update you on shortly!

What do you know about D'A? SWP would be great if we get him but I can't see it happening.

SWP has to much class for Pompey - cant see that happening myself, when he's been linked with Liverpool...hardly a choice for SWP if he wanted to leave Chelsea!

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
