Naughton in by Leicester take two?

Kyle Naughton has been 'on his way' to Pompey on loan from Spurs for what seems an age now, although this still has not happened yet...

One thing that does seem certain, according to Steve Cotterill, is that he WILL come in on this loan move from Spurs, and 'possibly' by the time we play Leicester again, this time in the league, on Friday.

It does seem as though, at this point in time, he will be the one and only emergency loan signing we do make - this is reading between the lines of what Cotterill said about him being the only loan we would make, as his signing will take us up to the 20 we can have at present.

I will hold my breath on this one as it has been 'on' for a long time now without going through, although it does seem as though it will go through eventually - I would imagine the payment of that £1m to Spurs has helped smooth over differences...

I would like to see a bit of variation in the team, and who knows, a full bench doesn't seem like much to ask.

Not sure how much better he will be than Ward, who on last nights performance I think is coming along just fine. Is Ward a defensive midfielder similar to how Wilson was best utilised?? Can't be any worse than 'pass back' Hughes.

I would rather we had someone who can create something as a 20th player. Ward or Mullins can fill that berth until the embargo and restrictions are listed.

3 things that will get cotterill the sack 1.sonko 2.dickinson 3naughton why waste 3 loans on these players which dont improve the team !! we could of had much better loan players who can create goals and score goals !! these 3 we have better players in reserve even though we have no reserves...

we only have two centre midfields now wilson has gone mullins and brown \

eastney I toally agree. What we need is a creative midfielder. The ones we have are all the same: defensive minded and 3 from 4 has scored about 3 goals between them - Mokoena, Hughes and Brown. Mullins doesn't know how to do that! I am sure Ward is as good as this Spurs kid. Hussler, I would agree about the three reasons you have given. When Hermann is back, all 3 will be sitting on the bench. That is a waste, when we could get better ones. I can't see Dickinson retaining his place any longer. Sonko will be back on the bench on Friday.
