The last two home games for me and some great memories.

Swindon in 1964 and Pompey were 5-0 up at half time and Swindon goalkeeper Hicks had at absolute howler under the Fratton End stand.

Birmingham in 1970 was strange one sided affair too. Met a friend in the evening whi had been playing cricket at St James hospital that afternoon and he said to what a result 6-0!! No I replied Pompey had five goals disallowed! He had heard the roars in Milton.. A young Trevor Francis just 16 was Brum's star player.

The Mansfield Low Down

PompeyFrippy looks ahead to Mansfield where Pompey MUST win in order to keep alive the hopes of beating Doncaster - who end this if they beat Exeter - and Plymouth to the title.

Over and out?

Noel Hunt's Pompey career could be over? A dislocated shoulder, at Hartlepool, means the former Southend man will not feature against Mansfield or Cheltenham.

Burgess - we can go again in league one

Christian Burgess, like the rest of us, is enjoying Pompey's promotion to league one BUT he's not content to settle at that level - he's already eyeing the Championship.

Winger returns but full back on his way out?

Ex-Chelsea & Walsall winger Lalkovic is back at Pompey, ahead of the proposed end to his Ross loan. Talbot looks as if his Blues days are numbered, a Chesterfield return is mooted?
