Two visits from Ipswich already on this date!! A win I was there and a draw. Two trips to Swindon too. Seven in total for me.

As a date we like the 11th Sept ! Everything from Wrexham onwards for me. LoL I remember the "media frenzy" - well "the News" and " South today" when Peter Marinello signed. I suppose they had it on ITV but apart from Fred Dineage and World of Sport we weren't allowed to watch it. In fact the only time I did watch it was when Fred made a few acid comments about station bias - what a guy. He got away with - I don't know HOW ; if you are of a certain age

I remember when Macca scored against Swindon, I didn't know at the time he was a bit fond of that club- we went nuts with joy.

The Hopkins own goal for Palace was the best I have ever seen! Back heel from our cross which loops over the keeper in to the top corner, brilliant!

Done Deal - Walsall compensated for Lalkovic

Milan Lalkovic has become Pompey's sixth signing of the summer. A compensation agreement with Walsall was agreed that has seen the former Chelsea winger join the Blues.

Solving that goalie quandary

I'm not sure our problem with finding a 'regular' no.1 last season was behind our failure to gain promotion from league two was it? Clearly it didn't help mind.

Pompey's attacking intent

Something Pompey (attacking intent) will look to show next season to get out of league two once and for all. Smith came in from Swindon last week but Cookie wants another striker.
