Another huge day for Pompey

Another huge day for Pompey

We, as a club and as fans, have had SO MANY 'big', 'huge', 'vital', 'crucial', call it what you will, days in recent months and years although today is another of them...

I think that we all know the score, both with what has happened in the past and what is happening today so the need to 'hype' things up as another of those 'judgement days' or whatever is not needed, is it?

The football league are meeting today and our future 'should' become somewhat clearer by the end of the day, although the ownership of the club again - which will be under Balram Chainrai again - is not 'expected' to be fully resolved this week, next Thursday is, and to be fair, always has been put down as the date for this.

There is however a 'decent' chance that most areas of what will happen with Portsmouth Football Club will be laid out and our transfer embargo lifted, although restraints - and quite rightly - will still remain in place with the football league watching us, and our dealings, very closely and still having to approve many deals.

Again, for me, that is more than fair enough, understandable and acceptable.

Whatever though by close of play next Thursday, at the latest I think, we 'should' be officially out of administration, have the transfer embargo lifted and be under the ownership of someone, of course almost certainly Chainrai, again and those steps to finally, and hopefully, move forward again and try to get this club back on track once and for all can happen...

And we've had so many 'let-downs' and 'cock-ups' that I can't get excited until it's happened, Rug.

I've read the news story about Lawrence joining us on loan and he says he initially joined us after being convinced by the manager about the plans we have in place and that things are about to turn around. Does anyone know what these plans are or has he just been spun a few lies to get him to sign?

TracyC I think that was a previous request and "information" actually meant a £15m bond from Chan, this was provided last week. Unless it is regards proposed ownership intentions and transferable bond.
