D.A Cover Up???

No Stay for DA

After weeks of rumours saying we are on the verge of signing
Andres today Sky Sports revealed that the Argentine midfielder said he had no plans to stay at Portsmouth because he is looking to go to a club with bigger ambition.

Andres said;

'What I know is that next week my future will be determined and that I would like to leave Portsmouth for a club with bigger ambitions'

'I don't know anything of the interest of Benfica, but if this is true that would be magic'

Personally this feels like being stabbed in the heart. And if DA does go to Befica, all the best to him but, I hope he realises the big mistake he made, and he will when he is sitting on the bench next to Robert.

What is it with Benfica and them trying to steel all our players?

Fabrizo Miccoli - was on the verge of signing, then Benfica stepped in

Robert - left for Benfica in January

Azar Karadas - In January they were demanding that he returned

And now our star that Harry said he would build a team around, Andres
D'Alessandro. They have stolen our building foundation!

It is possible that Portsmouth have asked D.A to say this as a cover up! Watch out for an article on Sunday, I`m just waiting on reaction on the rumour from Portsmouth Football club. (Vital Members will be told first in the forum.)

thats a blow cause he was a really good player, how about bidding for pennant?

No Pennant is a right winger, we need a left winger thats where DA played and was outstanding. How about Richardson from Man Utd, he was fantastic at West Brom but can't push his way into the Utd team.

No doubt HR has plan B, C & D up his sleeve.

By the way, Olivier Thomert is a left sided, left footed player ranked by some as the third best left sided player in France. He might be one of Harry's backup possibilities....

I don't understand why would they say something like this as a cover up. I do agree it is a bit strange that just a few weeks ago DA was saying how much he loved Portsmouth, the area, the club and the fans and now he has come out with a stabbing comment saying he wants to go to a club with more ambition. But really i think we have lost him this time

But Thomert is said to be as moody as Robert. We don't want one of those back at the club!

no not that kinda cover up, think why would pompey ask him to say that? think back to what peter said regarding fans calling them scrooge! If you still haven't worked it out, read sunday!

Shame to lose him, all seems very cloak and dagger

So here we go....from the optimistic mid table hopefuls back to the relegation dogfighters again.

Where do you get the idea that Miccoli was on the verge of signing? Utter rubbish mate. Let benfica have them all. Our history demands that we sign players who are 100 times better than d'allesandro et al.

DA via a dodgy foreign magazine article. as Harry said ALL dealings will be done away from Media, Fans and limelite, so dont expect any reaction possitive or negative as any reaction gives away unwanted speculation from Media. Just sit and wait and accept that if it goes wrong, Pompey wanted him, He wanted Pompey so blame the ******* agents again. The sooner the Players pay for their own agents, and not the club buying the player, the better. As then, and only then will the agent be capped by the players ability/want to pay them, and not the agents personal greed

If we can sign a decent left back then we could always move Matty Taylor back up on the left side of midfield, if DA does abandon us.

I'm still unsure of what to believe in the DA situation. It would be great if he stayed but i'm not gonna lose sleep over it if he wants to go elsewhere.
