Pack leaves on loan to 'free up' a place

Steve Cotterill has got his wish and sent another of the young players out on loan in order to free up a squad place, with Marlon Pack joining Cheltenham on loan until the end of the season.

To be honest, despite being impressed by the little I have seen, it is pretty clear that his chances of breaking into Cotterill's side are limited and I think that another loan spell would not hurt him.

That said with his contract ending at the end of the season and a liking for young players something that Cotterill is 'said' not to have, remind you of anyone, I would be surprised if he returned...

This departure surely does suggest that arrivals are expected as why else would we let a threadbare squad further lose numbers?

I just hope that these players that do come in actually give us as much passion, commitment and pride in playing for the shirt as the youngsters such as Pack would - if these 'senior players' offer nothing more then what is the point...

    Agreed..another Cotterill anti youth decision. Marlon was the best player on the pitch during extra time against palace. no doubt this will extend chase your tail hughes career, and leave a space for another 7ft ball winning hoofer.

    Cot again showing his loyalty to - Cheltenham; the players is according to rumours at the tavern said to have mixed feelings about it.
