Utaka and Nugent latest

Utaka and Nugent latest

Marc Wilson is at Stoke putting the 'finishing touches' to a move to his transfer.

According to sky sports news Dave Nugent and John Utaka have had 'enquires' made about them today.

Talk of a Blackpool interest in Nugent was 'revealed' last night, although Wigan are also 'said' to have also enquired about him today.

Although Burnley are 'said' to have rejected the chance to re-sign him with an approach for one of their players made in a deal involving him - so 'if' that is true it would also suggest that the clubs comments that they want him to stay are also not as true as claimed.

As for Utaka Leicester and QPR have also enquired about his 'availability' - please let this happen, although to be honest I cannot see it but time will tell...

If Utaka stays then for once in his life can he please play like we know he is capable of. He has blistering pace yet never seems to want to use it?! Anyone else heard about Michael Johnson coming to us from Man City?

Hoping today we sell Utaka and Wilson and bring in Kitson, Lawrence, Naughton, Walker and Johnson. Tbh though I can't see all these deals happening. I also think we should really be looking for another keeper as we are weak in that position. PUP!

Somebody appears to be trying to get Nuge a move. Whether it is PFC or someone on his side is difficult to tell from here.

We must be getting some players in as I see the OS has announced that Pack has gone out on loan. That leave a bench of 3 players now!

lots of prem teams need to loan out players not in their squads of 25, so lots of quality on offer in next few hours?

I agree Midge, lots on offer from about 4pm I guess; that's why I don't see Utaka going to a PL club. Another point is PL clubs will not want these players going to other PL teams, it will either be FL teams or more likely EU teams where the window doesn't shut until tomorrow night.

    Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.
