Wilson deal with Stoke 'almost done'

A Fratton exit for Marc Wilson before tomorrow nights transfer deadline is a mere formality - the deal to take him to Stoke is more of less done according to Steve Cotterill.

The fee with Stoke for Wilson is agreed, £2.5m, and his terms again 'more of less' agreed - it is just a case of the 'extras' that Pompey get that need thrashing out...

I think that we all know that Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence have been mentioned as 'makeweights' in the deal, this could prove a sticking point, not that it will prevent Wilson's exit I would not have thought?

He will leave regardless now it would seem.

The 'logistics' of the deal are proving harder with it likely to be harder to get 'two players across the line'...

It is 'said' that Kitson is keen on the move although Lawrence will need more 'convincing', lets put it this way if he does not want to be here then we do not want him, that said - to be fair - if I were a player would I really want to come here!

Kitson and 2.5 is already too much for wilson id say. And even if lawrence aint that interested, hes not gonna start for stoke anyways. He'll be a bonus ( A big one ) Probably good enough to replace wilson. Just hope we dont lose any more players. ( Exceptions- Utaka) :P

i dont think its £2.5m+players, more likely the players + £5k

Stokeies seem to think it's more like £1.5m + 2 players. The problem is the Pompey defence DOES need Lawrence; but how do you motivate a man who doesn't want to be here. Cotterille can't seem to motivate those that supposedly do want to play at FP
