Flahavan signs 1-month deal

Although Darryl Flahavan has been training with Pompey recently few would have expected his signing to have been announced today, although it has been officially confirmed on The Pompey Site.

The 32-year-old, the brother of former Pompey keeper Aaron Flahavan - who of course tragically dead some years ago, has signed a 1-month contract.

He is eligible for he game tomorrow, so it is 'possible' that we 'might' name 2 keepers on the bench, although of course highly unlikely, right?

Quite what this means for young Liam O'Brien remains to be seen...

Is there a rule against naming 2 keepers on the bench? I know it's incredibly unlikely they'll both be used, but it happens, it happened to Chelsea against Reading a few years back. And if we can't name a full bench anyway, it's not gonna do any harm.

I hope he is behind O'Brien and Ashdown in selection.

How well is Ashdown doing because I half expected to see him farmed out.Flahavan could be here on a short contract as direct competition to him.
