Man of the match against Coventry

Man of the match against Coventry

'Marc Wilson was the man of the match against Coventry', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I agree with to be honest...

I thought that Wilson had a fantastic game, although his influence on it dwindled away a bit as it went on - this was not down to him exactly though, I would say more down to players tiring and others just not offering him enough of an outlet. There was also the fact that Coventry registered that they could not allow him as much time on the ball as they were.

So, I agree with this although I felt Matty Ritchie should have finished as the winner up to him.

People were either watching another game if they genuinely believed John Utaka was the second best player or we have some visitors taking the p**s!

My money would be on the latter to be honest as I have never seen a worse display from a footballer, professional or otherwise, than what he gave at the weekend! Unless it is him doing it in the future, I cannot see myself ever seeing worse display down the line either...

I'd have gone for Ritchie, a kid who contrary to what Cotterille says clearly is ready.
