'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jordan does a runner!

After giving him a chance this summer, taking him to North America and offering a contract, Stephen Jordan has upped and left on us before the season kicked-off!

The Mirror 'reports' that the ex-Burnley man, known to Steve Cotterill from his days at Turf Moor, has decided not to sign the contract on offer and has instead decided to join Sheff United.

Instead of pulling on the Pompey blue this season he has taken a 'blade' and stabbed us in the back to play for a no power rival.

I cannot say I am not disappointed, as I am, because the guy 'seemed' a decent bloke and 'if' he can stay fit would do a very good job at this level.

Ah well, at least it is better to find out now than down the line, that he is not 100% committed to Pompey, right?

Players that ARE will be the only ones that I will be interested in having around Fratton this season, as said countless times before we desperately need fully committed players that DO want to be here this season - clearly he was not one of them...

    Can't really blame him

Rumour has it that he insisted on having hot water in his post training showers.

I can blame him; if true he has wasted a place on a tour getting fit and a position that we now have to fill: one day before the first game. That cost time and money Pompey don't have- bludee right we can blame him; slimeball - if true .

A bit much exile - no wonder he left :)

Ah well it gives us an extra target man to boo when they come to Fratton Park, if he is fit of course!

After last weeks performance I would rather have Ritchie at Left back for the moment anyway!

Good riddance! I echo Russell's post.
