And who said he was big headed...

And who said he was big headed...

They often say that there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance - quite what people think of Kevin-Prince Boateng's comments, to sky sports, will be open to interpretation to the person reading them...

He feels 'relaxed' about his next move and is just 'waiting for the right team' as he feels he can 'take his pick' following the world cup that he had: 'I am relaxed and preparing, just waiting for the right team.

'I can choose where to play after the World Cup where we could have played the semi-finals.

'I am ready to express my talent anywhere I can play.'

In all honesty I am still, even after a year of having the guy play for us - when he wanted to - if he is simply extremely self-confident or arrogant? Yep he is good but is he really as good as he thinks, or seems to think, that he is...

To be fair Boateng did have a fantastic world cup and was certainly up there with some of the best performers, although most were some way off Diego Forlan who was simply out of this world!

So long as a club comes in and gives us as much money as possible I do not care if it is Milan, Genoa, Lazio or Stoke - no disrespect to Stoke but it seems funny seeing them in that company, then again I am sure they, and others, used to think that of us in the 'glory days' - that sign him...

Take as long as you wish to decide Prince you just better hope that whoever does pick you up does so before the end of August or you are here until at least January!

And for as long as you are here I expect you to earn the money you are being paid...

signed in the glory days? didn't we sign him at the beginning of last season when we where already falling apart? lol. but as you says as long as he goes for a good price good luck to him just wish he could be a little more bothered when things get tough!

He was good at Portsmouth, but we have to take into consideration that our team was ripped apart and we had no 'stars' playing out there. I am sure that he wouldn't have been 'so big' if he had played with the likes of Muntari, Diarra and Defoe to mention a few. I do not really care were he goes, as long as we get some cash... and if he stays, I just HOPE he won't take any penalties!

If he's in no rush, we could do with him for two or three matches.

He abandoned us with his bad foot which miraculously got better when he wanted to play at Wembley. I think the man is not nice and we are well shot of him. .....after a couple of opening games in the Champs and when we are in receipt of a nice little cheque for around 6m - of course.

Now that we're (almost) out of admin then perhaps these clubs that were trying to rip us off on the transfer fees will give over! Then all we need is a few clubs interested for a nice little bidding war!

KPB the rush for your services hasn't come yet. I hope for Pompey's sake it does come and there's a bidding war. But I fear that you'll be here next season with a sick note. I think you rate yourself too highly.

From SkySports - Kevin-Prince Boateng has clashed with Portsmouth over where he will spend his future after making Genoa his club of choice. However, Genoa's Serie A rivals Lazio are offering Pompey significantly more money for his services, according to AA. AA said: "I'm discussing with Kevin his position and he will be leaving the club - but it's just a matter of time and how much we get for him. "His representatives are trying to put pressure on us to accept far less money than he is worth. "He wants to go to Genoa but we have a much higher offer from Lazio and we are trying to bridge the two and the sooner we can move it on the better."

    2016-17 Champions Review: April

Pompey had a 6 point gap and were playing as good as they had all season, but with 7 games remaining, not even the most optimistic fan could have predicted how it would unfold.

    2016-17 Champions Review: March

Every season has its highs and lows. The draw at home to Morecambe was a body blow for Pompey, but little did we know that the next home game against Crewe was to be our turning point.

Done and dusted - O'Brien joining Coventry

Academy graduate O'Brien, who went on to play for Barnet, Brentford and Dagenham following his release by Pompey, will leave Fratton Park again - he'll link up with Doyle at Coventry.
