2010/11 Pompey Predictions League

2010/11 Pompey Predictions League

It back, the 4th annual Pompey Predictions League returns this weekend when we kick-off against Coventry - hopefully!

Many of you will be familiar with the format having taken part in the competition in previous years.

As before this is a very simple idea that will take minimal time and effort, but should be a bit of fun for us throughout the 2010/11 season.

To take part in this, as I say simple but effective yet best of all free idea, all you have to do is be a member of this site (sign up here) and be willing to spent a few moments before each game that Pompey play to put forward your prediction on what you think the result will be and who will be its Pompey goalscorers.

You have to be in it to win it, so make sure you enter for your chance to win prizes this season!

More info can be found in the forum - click here.

So, who is in?

In anaswer to you Russ, Rug normally puts them up month by month, so you can predict up to 4 weeks in advance, sometime 8 if he is ultra efficient!

Cheers Paul. I was looking for a few days; I wouldn't trust our squad to have the same members longer than a week at a time.

Done Deal - Free agent Davies arrives

No sooner had I mused the central defensive options wondering would Cookie bring in another have we announced a deal for former Accrington man Tom Davies!

    No longer a midfield option

Barton played most of his football for Pompey in central defence. He came to Fratton as a central midfielder but those days are behind him, as far as Cookie is concerned.

On this day in history...1st July

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 1st July.

    Good luck Ben!

In an ideal world Davies would have agreed a new deal and stayed with Pompey next season but Grimsby have been able to offer him the stability of a two-year deal we couldn't.
