Pompey to miss out on Sonko?

Having announced him as a signing last week 'should' Pompey miss out on Ibrahima Sonko, as sky sports is suggesting we could, it would just about sum up our situation at the moment really wouldn't it...

A season long loan deal was agreed with Stoke, what, a week or so ago but this was subject to 'football league approval.

With the football league now, apparently, giving us permission to sign 'up to 3 players' you would have expected Sonko to be the first through the door - although as yet, as far as I am aware, this deal has not been 100% confirmed.

As a result, if these 'reports' are true, Bristol City may well nip in and sign the defender from under our noses!

Sky sports 'understands' that a similar year long loan has been agreed with Stoke so the 29-year-old must now decide where he wants to go - the fact that he worked with Bristol City manager Steve Coppell at Reading 'probably' gives them the advantage now...

Yep, ild think he's off to brissol now. Surely. There has to be some good news out there, and not ashdown and Jordan signing, if that happens....

God, Ashdown. Two words which are very common: ash - down.

Why were they so desperate to get a decision for Jamo, giving him that deadline and withdrawing the offer, and still nothing's happened. Even though we had permission to sign a keeper already.

Tracy Pompey have issued a contract . Also a couple of Glaswegians I know say James was not of the same understanding as Pompey regards agreement. Sonko just probably wants games, so I don't think any decision has been made yet; he's possibly thinking that with Pompey only having a squad of about 2 he's likely to get his choice of positions to start.

I think he will still come here.. fingers crossed!
