Blackburn V Pompey for Zigic

Belgrades owner said, 'I have held talks with the owner of Portsmouth, Mr Milan Mandaric, but they are not the only club with an interest in Zigic. Blackburn is also interested, but we have yet to see what they can offer.

'Personally, I would be thrilled if Zigic could be with us for the qualifications for the Champions League and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

'Speaking objectively, I would have to say that he deserves to capitalize on his enormous talent, but still, we would like to keep him here just a little longer.'

MM just can't keep quiet about players he wants to sign. It would be more discreet if we had a neon sign outside Fratton Park illuminating the players we want to bring in. He should get the players signed before shouting his mouth off.

I can't believe how anoying Blackburn are nearly every player we try to get Blackburn are in our shadow trying to steal him it's like they have a secret agent in Fratton Park

Its not exactly been a secret that he was wanting to leave, so i suspect his agent has hawked him all round the premiership in the last 6 months anyway.

We need to start thinking about a sensible attacking option and Zigic looks by the favourite of terms of build and prestige. Could we have an edge over blackburn in the way that we have Stef and MM? Get Zigic and Hartson and we are looking at a formidable attacking force! Hopefully he wont bow down to try and sign for a team in Europe and take us their himself!

Zigic looks good from what i have seen from clips but i think we need someone we know can cut it in the Premiership and can score goals.

It doesn't much for things to leak out. The selling club are looking to push the price up but we don't help ourselves. I'd rather be told we signed this or that player etc.. forget all the ifs & maybes. expecting too much?

Let's face it good players are not exactly running around and not being heard off, and if they were all others are entitled to be involved in the chase. The agents are not going to deal secretly with a single club, they are more than prepared to sell auction style to the highest bidder.

It's going to be hard to attract top notch strikers to our chicken pen. The Stadium issue is falling FOWL once again as all you hear is POULTRY excuses. Personally I think we are being sold a lame DUCK.

If we want this guy, we had better be quick. He looks good and we need some height in our attack. I still think we should go for Camara too. We certainly need more than 1 new striker. It will give the boys something to play for.
