Blackburn V Pompey for Zigic

Belgrades owner said, 'I have held talks with the owner of Portsmouth, Mr Milan Mandaric, but they are not the only club with an interest in Zigic. Blackburn is also interested, but we have yet to see what they can offer.

'Personally, I would be thrilled if Zigic could be with us for the qualifications for the Champions League and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

'Speaking objectively, I would have to say that he deserves to capitalize on his enormous talent, but still, we would like to keep him here just a little longer.'

MM just can't keep quiet about players he wants to sign. It would be more discreet if we had a neon sign outside Fratton Park illuminating the players we want to bring in. He should get the players signed before shouting his mouth off.

Its not exactly been a secret that he was wanting to leave, so i suspect his agent has hawked him all round the premiership in the last 6 months anyway.

We need to start thinking about a sensible attacking option and Zigic looks by the favourite of terms of build and prestige. Could we have an edge over blackburn in the way that we have Stef and MM? Get Zigic and Hartson and we are looking at a formidable attacking force! Hopefully he wont bow down to try and sign for a team in Europe and take us their himself!
