'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No one leaving on the cheap eh?

I MUST start of by saying, whilst we have to be mindful of the fact that this IS ONLY paper speculation, 'if' there is any truth to it then the thoughts that no one would be sold 'on the cheap' would not really being proven as being the case, would they?

'Reports' in the Italian media are 'claiming' that the price is proving a sticking point for Nadir Belhadj with a 'compromise' of around £2.85m 'probably' going to be agreed in the end with Lazio...

Should the Algerian go for that then this is someway off the £5m, or so, that we were looking for and means quite a hit on the £4m plus that we signed him for - then again needs must I guess?

Just PLEASE for the love of God have got a 'sell-on clause' written into any contract! If others do it to us can we not do it to them, as much as I detest these kinds of deals.

So, whilst the 'rumours' might be that Billy is leaving for a lot less than I would say he should The Mail is 'claiming' that John Utaka is off to Sunderland for 'as much' as £2m...

That would of course be a £5m hit taken on him, what a waste of money eh, but £2m would be more than I though we would get so this would 'even things out' over the transfer of both players all in all, right?

Then again The News 'claims' that Billy and Kevin-Prince Boateng are 'closing in' on a double move to Lazio for the recently reported £8m, add that and the Utaka money together and something like £10m for the lot, whilst still low perhaps in all honesty, would not be too bad...

Again though we MUST remember that this is, on both counts at the moment, nothing more than 'media speculation'.

Yep so much for not going on the cheap, however it could be that the sum is the upfront amount with various stage payments and a sell on clause to follow; that would fund the CVA. IN MY DREAMS !

It's not about balancing books or trying to get back what we paid for them so comparisons are futile.. If we get £10m for the three mentioned that is well above what they are truly worth .. think about it .. would you pay £4m for Boateng, £4m for Belhadj and £2m for Utaka .. I wouldn't on any count .. If we get that we should be well happy

Exactly as Chix says, we have to cut our losses, they were all bad buys and didn't represent value for money, we're never going to get what we paid back (imagine if we could!) so if we do get £10m i'd be very happy.

It's about funding the CVA, officially as far as the courts are concerned the viability of the CVA rests player sales accounting for 50% of the 30 odd million CVA value; therefore player sales need to provide circa £15mill. This will also affect the buying value of Lloyd, Chan or said Ukranian investors;if they ever existed outside a leverage plan!

All big wage earners as well, all points to a clearer future
