Pompey at the world cup - Kevin-Prince Boateng

A Pompey career might be drawing ever closer to an end, although the world cup ending tonight is not something that one of Ghana's adopted sons will be wanting tonight...

The Prince is becoming a King

No two ways about it now, Kevin-Prince Boateng will know by close of play tonight if he has played his last game of the 2010 world cup in South Africa -there are NO second chances any longer...

The Pompey man, who is being 'linked' with Lazio, has had a really good tournament for so far, and like the African nation themselves the other night was fantastic for a good hour or so against the Germans before they eventually slipped to a 1-0 defeat.

Had Ghana drawn, or England actually won group A, then Boateng would be coming face to face with a Pompey teammate, as it is he will instead face America and plenty of familiar faces to him.

USA v Ghana has the makings of a really good game, if the Africans can make more of their chances against the Yanks and Boateng can have an influence on the game like he has their others so far I could see them making it through to the quarter finals you know...
