Merson Return? Bond Leaves, Jamie...

Kevin Bond has left Pompey (again!), this time it`s for money. Pompey where only willing to offer a one year deal to Bond.

Kevin Bond said, 'It's mixed emotions, having to leave Portsmouth,' admitted Bond. 'Newcastle have been huge under-achievers and there are great expectation levels.

'That in itself is going to be a pressure, but it is definitely one that I am really looking forward to.'

'Probably the biggest decision that I faced was leaving Harry Redknapp,' added Bond.

'Harry has been absolutely fantastic to me over the last six or seven years.

'He told me he was disappointed to be losing me, but he understood that it is an exciting challenge for me.'

Jamie Redknapp is not hot favourite to come in as he has delayed signing a lucrative contract with Sky Sports. Another possibility could be Paul Merson! (You never know haha)

I think having Merson as a number 2 would be great. He has a great passion for the game and knows what portsmouth is all about

Like Merson a lot and he does not what Pompey are all about, however I think the one person that can really get through to HR is Jamie, come on son, join up!

How does Merson not know about portsmouth danonash, he was the main reason we got into the premiership. And he is a good friend of Harry

Finally blood will flow thicker than water, Linvoy it says "he does not what Pompey are all about." not sure what you are reading.

Linvoy, i understand why you'd want him but...... what we need, not unlike players in too... is an experienced coach. We cant just put people in there who have no previous experience. Agrre him & jamie would have a lot to offer a head coach though.

I totally agree FEn_100, but with that shouldn't we be looking higher than jamie then for a head coach?

Yes mate. 110%. As i said. Merse & jamie as assisstants, but not as head coach. Someone with proven experience is needed. Lets do what proper premiership sides do and sign people that improve the side as opposed to taking a chance.

Leave Jamie to do his pritty stuff in front of the camera, and get a proven coach in. Jamie wont add anything

It's highly unlikely but if we were to try and go for a head coach with some real pedigree, I'm thinking Sven, after the world cup he will be out of a job and there's one down at Fratton Park in which he specialises in. He would get paid a bomb and he is a proven motiveator and he knows how to get players fit. So should we try and get him?

I meant he does know what pompey are about! Harry with JJas #2 and Jamie as an assistant would be a step in the right direction, we also have a new keeping coach, nad in fairness that is one area where Scum were good, so have high hopes for him. now lets get somone to work with the defence!

Has anyone noticed that nearly all the backroom staff are ex scummers, Harry, Jordan, possibly Jamie & the goalkeeping coach. Glad to see the back of another ex scummer in Bondie. He has know gone back to his spiritual home......

Boro game at home, when we one 4-1! Just like to add I never sang it! Can anyone tell me does MM stand for Mickey Mouse? As it seems that Milan is intent on running the club like a MM outfit, he has now managed to upset Ellis, why can he just not shut his mouth?

Bond changes clubs as frequently as he changes his underpants. Maybe he thinks he is going to win the BONDTOON.
