Italians after Boateng now?

Italians after Boateng now?

Earlier in the week it was Nadir Belhadj that Lazio wanted, now it is Kevin-Prince Boateng according to sky sports, who have 'sources' that 'understand' Lazio are 'preparing a swoop'.

Sky sports 'claimed' that Lazio were hoping to get him in on a 'cut price deal' with us being in 'financial turmoil...

Having paid £4m for the midfielder from Spurs less than 12-months ago surely he is worth AT LEAST that now, arguably more as he has had a good world cup for Ghana.

Although The Mail is actually 'claiming' that Lazio do still retain that interest in Billy Belhadj and are preparing an £8m 'double swoop' for the pair?

Now that, for me, is more like it!

Ideally if we could push them up for £10m for the pair, £5m apiece, that would be ideal...

I think £10M as a combined price is a reasonable fee for two World Cup experienced players.

He had a good World Cup and this can only enhance his price which is good for your club ...hope you get a few million for him.

It's a cut price deal, but neither is worth what we need but if we get 9 maybe 10 mill then we can be happy. The biggest issue is probably not so much the money it's the payment terms, how much upfront, installment sums and getting a sell on clause to further fund the CVA later down the line.

I knew that Spurs would be kicking themselves at selling him on the cheap and I have been proved right this season.

I agree Russel. I think we would accept 8mill for both. A good price after all. We have sold players for cheap and surely this is what we should not do! Remember Kranky? Oh my God, we gave him away! I hope Lampitt will not do the same.

What do we hope for from the rest of the season?

There seems to be a lot of unhappiness around, despite a pretty decent season in my opinion. Well, certainly our best season in a long while.
