There is still a 'chance' that we could see two Pompey players come face to face with each other during the England v Algeria game tonight...
Belhadj v James?
It is a dead cert that Nadir Belhadj will start for Algeria today, if he can control his temper enough to finish the game remains to be seen though! Former loanee Hassan Yebda also has a chance of starting too.
'Reports' today are saying that Lazio are interested in Billy, if the birthday boy can put in a good showing today this would increase their interest, and maybe see others show an interest too?
So, long as he has a good game and England win that will do me!
I am sure that you are as bored as I am of banging on about this issue but for me David James SHOULD be the England no.1, and should have been anyway - although will this be the case?
Rob Green, despite his error, was commonly 'understood' to remain Fabio Capello's choice, although 'reports' of a error similar to the one against America in training on Thursday are 'thought' to have made up his mind to make a change...
If he does what affect will it have on Green though? What happens if we needed to turn to him again!
There were further 'rumours' that Capello was unhappy with James, apparently according to the media, complaining at not being selected and this would see Joe Hart move ahead of him.
In spite of all of this the rumour mill is rumbling more and more with these rumblings increasing that James WILL be recalled and installed as the no.1 as a result tonight?
I guess time will tell, although personally I do think it would be best for Capello to have made his players aware of what he was doing sooner rather than later, then again just as he is not telling the media this does not mean that he has not done this does it...
