Will he stay or will he go? #39 Nadir Belhadj

Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only 'hope' that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully 'do right by us!' Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be 'guess work' and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, a lot might have been dependant on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess, and we now know that he has gone...

#39 Nadir Belhadj

What a character he is eh?

Previously so unpredictable that I suspect even he did not know what he was going to do next! Although he has mellowed a bit.

He is a real joy to behold when he is in full flight and at his best, some of his skill is incredible and the way he can effortlessly bring the ball out of the skies is fantastic - just DO NOT let him tackle in the penalty box...

Will he stay or will he go?

Go, and hopefully for a good price...

Nadir Belhadj just wants to play football. When he has not done that here he has expressed a desire to go, when he has played he is happy although I cannot see the no power championship being for him - plus we want his wages off the bill.

He has plenty of suitors so we 'should not' be short of offers, so hopefully we will make the most of this and cash-in to the highest amount that we can as he is one of our major assets.

Finally he seems to have grasped the concept of teamwork and has some control over his volatile temperament, so it is a shame that he has to go but needs must. As said I cannot, despite the fact that he would have a field day, see him playing for us again.

Disappointingly though it is beginning to look like he will sell out for the money, as opposed to the glory, and following this money could 'worryingly' see us end up not getting as much as we would from others as a result...Although he has now, according to fresh 'reports' said that he would like to stay in the premier league, West Ham it is then!

Nadir, one of Pompey's most skilful and exciting players, sadly nearly always played out of position.

League Two 2016/17 Golden Boot Battle (27/3/17)

With most playing 39 League Two games in the 2016/17 season, this year could still see a few players break the 20 goal mark.

Vital View - League 2, 25th-26th March 2017

With Doncaster and Plymouth yet to play Portsmouth took advantage to close the gap and extend it on the chasing pack. Newport & Leyton Orient look likely to be relegated.

Video - Pompey 2-1 Newport

With Stevenage drawing and Blackpool the only potential challenger winning we've got a six point cushion on Boro that's effectively seven given our superior goal difference.
