Lua's Flipping Contract

Lua's Flipping Contract

Mirror-

LOMANA LuaLua is to open contract talks with Portsmouth this week with a view to fending off interest from Manchester City and West Ham.

Striker Lualua, 25, whose present deal expires next summer, is ready to sign for a further two years.

The Congo international said: 'I hope to stay for a long time.'

So should he get a new contract?

Wigan are reportable intrested in a swap deal for Lua and Henri Camara, can't see it myself!

Not sure which club would be the beneficiary of that swap, but it could benefit both players. Even better would perhaps be to acquire both services.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
