Will he stay or will he go? #23 Price Boateng

Will he stay or will he go? #23 Price Boateng

Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only 'hope' that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully 'do right by us!' Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be 'guess work' and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, a lot might have been dependant on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess, and we now know that he has gone...

#23 Kevin-Price Boateng

Almost certainly our 'best player' in terms of quality, although he is far from a team player and team players are what we need.

We have seen a decent season from him but attitude and temperamental issues have been seen again by Kevin-Prince Boateng for us at times, and not many clubs will tolerate that regardless of quality.

I say that we have had a 'decent season from him' but we gave him the platform for this too, and he would do well remembering this.

Will he stay or will he go?

Go, we just have to hope for 'decent' or at least 'fair' money...

It is a dead cert that The Prince will leave the paupers this summer - I think that he would want it even if the club might not have wanted this.

The world cup could give him a further platform to sell himself, which I hope that he can do to generate more interest and drive the price up, as my biggest hope is that we do not quite literally give him away! We did; after all, 'pay' £4m less than a year ago so lets not screw ourselves in the desperations to cash in on the fire sale.

That said we have 'revealed' we want to sell before the world cup, so chances are we will do so on the cheap, although hopefully 'rumour' that Uncle Avram wants to take him with him will see him offer a 'decent' and 'fair' amount?

To be honest as talented as he is he would not gave the fight or bottle for the no power league would he so it is probably best for all concerned that he moves on, not that we have much option as to this happening or not!

I enjoyed watching him play, no doubt the boy has some talent, but could never see him wanting to go down a div, which is fair enough I suppose, I do think we should be hanging out for and 5mil for him tho!

Finest in the Football League

I don't hide how highly I rate Chaplin. I feel he's the best striker in league two - better than most in league one. Cook said he is the best goalscorer outside the Premier League.
