'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will he stay or will he go? #11 Michael Brown

Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only 'hope' that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully 'do right by us!' Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be 'guess work' and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, also A LOT will depend on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess...

#11 Michael Brown

When moves were made to bring Michael Brown back to Pompey the reaction, overall, was not that good.

He was not wanted back by many for his footballing ability, or lack of as was thought, along with his on-the-field actions at times - that at times have had no place in football.

To be fair I think it would be fair to say that he has proven a lot of people wrong!

Will he stay or will he go?

Stay, assuming he is given this opportunity...

In all honesty I cannot say I am 100% convinced that he will be given this chance to stay but I have little doubt, if given this chance, that he will be here next season and he would want to be here as well - and lets face it we cannot sell everyone, can we...

That said I believe that he still lives up North so travelling South for training all the time might not appeal to him? At the same time the prospect of uprooting his family for a move South could be too much of a risk for him given the clubs position. This could happen, only for him to be moved on!

I could see some lower end premier league sides having him as a squad player, at least, but for me he could be a key, and vital player for us in midfield and one to potentially build this midfield around so I am hoping that he will be back in July for pre-season, something that he himself has said he is aiming for.

I was aware that his family are still in the Manchester area and would probably jump at the chance to a club in that area - there are plenty of them. Would like him to stay though as he is a player you would rather have on your side.

Would love to have him stay - winds the opposition up, gets under the skin of some great players and seems to put them off their game, and can put a big tackle in when needed. Had Lampard in his back pocket on Saturday, think he could do a great job in the Championship if he's willing to stay.

I would love him to stay, and as captain if Jamo had to leave. If we had to have Jamo, Moka, Rocha, Hermann and him and perhaps Smith we would have a very good squad to build on!

I could live with him staying; could even make reasonable psycho type Captain

I want him to stay simply beacuse I have worked out a brilliant chant for him. Sung to 'Down Down, Deeper and DOwn' by Status Quo I think - Just simply

Brown Brown, Michael Brown.

So simple even those in the Fratton end could get it! lol
